Hutchie nets record-equalling fourth TT win

Man of the moment Ian Hutchinson grabbed his fourth win of the 2010 TT so far with victory in Thursday afternoon’s Supersport Race Two.

The win means the Yorkshireman, who had already posted victories in this week’s Superbike, Supersport Race One and Superstock events, equals Phillip McCallen’s record of four TTs in a week – but with the Senior event still to come.

The race saw a fascinating duel between Hutchinson, riding a Padgett’s of Batley Honda, and Michael Dunlop, aboard a Yamaha R6. 

After Hutchinson lead the first three laps, Ulsterman Dunlop posted a blistering final lap record of 127.83mph to lead briefly before the Yorkshireman recovered to win by just 1.5 seconds.
