Today’s TT races delayed

TT Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson has just announced that there will be a minimum three-hour delay to today’s programme.

He said: “We fully expect the current rain to go by 10.00am so the conditions will be getting brighter. What we’re looking at the moment is to close the Mountain road at 12.30, then all roads by 13.00.

“We propose a 13.45 start to the Supersport race, followed by a Sidecar race stat at 15.50. We ask everyone (competitors, teams, marshals, medical staff etc) to be flexible. It is going to be a long day.”

The Arai Parade is scheduled for 19.00, followed by Senior TT practice at 19.40 and Lightweight TT practice at 20.15.
