Isle of Man TT: Tuesday practice cancelled
TT & road races

Tuesday evening’s practice session at the 2013 Isle of Man TT Races was cancelled after conditions slowly deteriorated during the late afternoon.
The weathermen's prediction of rain to be falling by 6pm proved to be exactly right and with steady drizzle falling at the Grandstand and at various other parts of the course, the feeling amongst competitors in parc ferme was that there was little chance of a full session taking place.
Most were expecting the chance perhaps of another untimed session with John McGuinness amongst the riders who said he'd have a run round on his HM Plant Padgetts Supersport machine.
The original 6.20pm start was put back as the Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson MBE allowed extra time to see if the rain would stop but, after two course inspection laps with the rider liaison officers and former TT star Keith Amor, the decision was made at 6.35pm to call the session off due to the wet roads.
It all means competitors now have just three practice sessions before the Superbike race on Saturday but dry, bright weather is forecast for the remainder of the week which should at least give everyone some valuable track time.
