just watched the portuguese round of supers, great win for sykes and terrible luck in race 2. great late charge for rea and an ulster 1 and 2. can anybody explain to me why when brit eugene laverty (from toomebridge, northern ireland) wins they hoist the EIRE flag (different country) and not the union jack, and they play the EIRE national anthem as opposed to god save the queen like they do for his british brothers and jonathon rea?, also they always have a EIRE flag after his name on the telly instead of the union jack. very puzzled.
