Alstare Ducati unveil new WSB contender

Alstare Ducati have unveiled their 2013 colour scheme, as the Belgian-owned team become the official Ducati Corse WSB squad.

The Panigale 1199 will make its World Superbike debut this year after a disappointing 2012 running the 1098R under the Althea banner.

The new paint job will make its track debut next week at Philip Island prior to the first round of the championship, after testing last week was plagued by bad weather in Jerez.

The main sponsor for the team are Energy T.I., an Italian natural gas company who have been involved with Ducati for several years, and Italian mobile phone giant TIM.

“I can only be pleased and optimistic with a team like this, and a bike of this level, with our two riders and a team of friends and sponsors that will support us throughout this demanding season” commented team boss Francis Batta.

“The challenge that awaits us is not an easy one but thanks to our partners and the trust Ducati puts in us we will find the strength and the incentive to tackle the new season. I thank everyone who believes in us; we will do all we can to repay such passion and respect.”
