Italian Marco Simoncelli, racing for the Metis Gilera team, has dominated both of the 250cc qualifying sessions to earn himself pole position in tomorrow's 250 GP at the Sachsenring in Germany. Simoncelli managed a best time of 1'23.399, making him the fastest 250 rider to lap the Sachsenring and the only one to ever break the 1'24 mark.
