British Superbikes: Leon Camier's operation a success

1 of 1

The latest news on Bike Animal Honda’s Leon Camier, following his Cadwell Park crash yesterday, is that he had his femoral fracture pinned this morning and that the operation was a success.

According to British Superbike sources, the plan is to get him up out of bed tomorrow and allow him home once he is well enough and, incredibly, that could be by the end of this week.

Leon Camier also has a pelvic fracture (iliac blade) which is apparently stable and minimally displaced.

He also has sprained knee ligaments from the earlier crash with Jonathan Rea in race one.

MCN has been advised further assessment on his injuries may follow.
