Ten Kate to test electronic shock

World Supersport series leader Kenan Sofuoglu will test the WP electronically controlled rear shock on his Hannspree Ten Kate Honda today.

The rear shock incorporates it’s own Electronically Controlled Damping Unit, which controls both rebound and compression damping depending on what is happening to the bike in each corner.

Sofuoglu tested the shock for the first time two weeks ago at the Vallelunga test in Italy and was impressed with the feeling and feedback the electronically controlled system gave.

Team Boss Ronald Ten Kate said: “We spent the first day getting a good base for the bike so now we are in a position to try the sytem. Kenan is very happy with the feel it gives and as a system it could actually give even bigger benefits to a road rider or for someone that enjoys track days.”

Team-mate Sebastain Charpentier and Superbike men James Toseland and Roberto Rolfo are still undecided whether they will use the new shock this weekend.
