World Superbikes: Misano: Troy Bayliss takes second race and double win for Xerox Ducati

1 of 1

Troy Bayliss has taken a double win at the Misano round of the World Superbike championship with victory in race two on the factory Xerox Ducati.

It was a dominant performance for the Australian, with only Noriyuki Haga managing to take the lead for a brief moment on lap one. Both Noryuki Haga and Max Biaggi, who tangled in race one, made it onto the podium, with Haga taking second for Yamaha Italia and Biaggi in third on the Alstare Suzuki.

Tory Corser started the race in third, behind Tory Bayliss and Noriyuki Haga, but was soon demoted by former team-mate Yukio Kagayama on the second of the Alstare Suzukis. James Toseland also dropped down the order from fourth to sixth, with both Kagayama and Biaggi passing him after the Italian rider managed to run wide, rejoin the circuit and make his way back up to the podium, squeezing past Yukio Kagayama on the penultimate lap.
