French GP winner Chris Vermeulen has been approached about a switch to Kawasaki’s factory team in 2008.
Kawasaki is one of two factory teams to have made contact with the Aussie, who claimed a stunning a debut MotoGP victory in a rain-lashed Le Mans GP earlier this month.
The 24-year-old’s contract with the Rizla Suzuki squad expires at the end of the 2007 MotoGP world championship and he said: “I’ve heard from them (Kawasaki).
“There’s another expressing an interest. I’ve had contact from a couple of manufacturers wanting to know if I am interested to speak.”
For the full low down on Vermeulen’s future, plus interview with Britain’s teenage star Bradley Smith, see tomorrow’s MCN.
