Sepang MotoGP: Hector Faubel on pole for 125cc title decider

Hector Faubel is on pole position for the deciding race of the 2007 125cc world championship, with current series leader Gabor Talmacsi in second place on the grid.

Faubel grabbed pole with a time of 2:13.327, with Talmacsi, who leads the championship by just one point, qualifying 0.116s slower. Joining the title rivals on the front row will be Sandro Cortese and Pol Espargaro.

The second row will feature Simone Corsi, Tomoyoshi Koyama, Lukas Pesek and Joan Olive. Provisional pole rider Pablo Nieto has dropped to ninth and the third row of the grid.

Britain’s Bradley Smith has qualified in 15th place on the Repsol Honda 125. Fellow Brit Danny Webb has qualified in 25th.
