MotoGP: Jerez test: James Toseland undergoing medical checks

British rider James Toseland is currently undergoing medical checks at the Jerez circuit after he crashed on only his second lap of the final day of testing this afternoon.

The double World Superbike champion high-sided at the first corner, and reports say he is undergoing X-rays on his right ankle after a heavy landing in the incident.

James Toseland was on his first flying lap having waited for conditions to improve shortly after 1pm local time.

Heavy rain forecast for today has yet to emerge, but a gusting wind has made for less than ideal conditions.
