Isle of Man TT: Conor Cummins to race for NCT Vanfit Yamaha

Conor Cummins, fastest Manxman ever around the Isle of Man TT course, is riding for Neil Haslam’s NCT Vanfit Yamaha team this year, but is also racing in the National Superstock.

Apart from being competitive in each of his four Isle of Man TT rides last year, Conor Cummins also won two Irish road racing titles in his first full season of racing there but has decided to focus a lot more on the British short circuits this year.

Cummins said: “I’ve decided to make the break from road racing to concentrate on the short circuits while I can and prove myself there.

“I’m still doing the international road races and would like to include myself in the top 10 list of rider who would be thought of as potential podium finishers but I’m only too well aware that I’ve still got a lot to learn.”

Conor Cummins made his Isle of Man TT debut in 2006 and is now the tenth fastest rider around the course in TT history but he added: “I might be a local but riding the Mountain course on a street bike and racing around are two entirely different things.”
