Kawasaki's Anthony West is struggling with pace, but says he's not worried at the moment

Aussie Anthony West has denied getting increasingly concerned about his winter testing form with the new MotoGP season start just under two weeks away.
The factory Kawasaki rider has struggled to break into the top ten at most winter tests on the new ZX-RR, which he will ride alongside American John Hopkins in 2008.
But he has refused to press the panic button and told MCN: “I’m not panicking just yet.
“But if I am out the back in the first race I’ll start stressing. I hate being last.
“I’ve struggled at some places but maybe I don’t like testing, I just need to get into racing.”
Anthony West landed the Kawasaki ride after Olivier Jacque retired in the middle of last season, and the winter testing schedule has been the first full pre-season campaign of his career.

Something to prove?
I love Westy, he's the kind of guy that always puts a smile on your face. He's down to earth and likeable and made an instant mockery of half the grid when he turned up last year at Donington Park for his first ride on the Ninja. BUT........he does seemed to have never got any better and that's coming from me a huuuge fan of his. I'm hoping he makes waves because there must be a string of riders wanting to get into MotoGP and especially now Hoppers at Kawasaki too. Come on Westy, get your arse into gear mate. If you don't like testing then your screwed my old pal. Sorry.
