Cal Crutchlow to race at Suzuka Eight Hour

British Superbike's Honda factory rider Cal Crutchlow will compete at the Suzuka Eight hour and is currently testing in Japan

British Superbike star Cal Crutchlow will race for Honda motorcycles at this year’s Suzuka Eight Hour in July, and at this weekend’s 300km race.

The factory HM Plant Honda rider has been out testing in Japan with team-mate Leon Haslam and World Supersport’s Jonathan Rae at Suzuka this week and has been chosen to ride the factory-supported Moriwaki Honda FireBlade.

Information is still sketchy but Crutchlow is believed to have been running in the top 16 on a development bike using old tyres.

The test has been mostly wet though Crutchlow has got some testing times on the Dunlop-shod Honda CBR1000RR FireBlade.

Reports suggest that Jonathan Rae was running 11th and Leon Haslam was 13th at the test. We’ll have more news here on motorcyclenews.com as it comes.
