This exclusive video shot in the Twin Ring Motegi in Japan on Monday captured Valentino Rossi completing his first laps on a prototype version of Yamaha’s 2008 YZR-M1 machine.
Featuring new bodyork and revamped chassis, Valentino Rossi put the bike through its paces less than 24 hours after he lost the MotoGP world championship to Aussie Ducati rival Casey Stoner.
Valentino Rossi evaluated two new chassis on the bike that featured a 2007 spec spring valve four-cylinder motor.
The Italian will be back in action on the new bike after the season’s final round in Valencia in early November.
