Ideal bullet-proof winter work-horse taxed until 30/4/15 and MOT until 11/14.

It comes with the windscreen, belly pan and hugger fitted by the previous owner which I think really improves the look of the bike. ??I have the V5 certificate and old MOT certificates dating back to 2008 and 2 keys. I'll also include the oxford disk lock and maybe one or two other extras like a jacket, helmet and oxford luggage set if you need it.

Some work is now due on the bike – new sprocket and chain, front brake pads and a good clean up and service, which my local bike shop has quoted at £250. I could get it done but since I’m selling – I’ll reflect that in the asking price.

There is a mark on the tank, which looks ugly but doesn’t affect the function. (a replacement tank is about £150). The missing bar end can be cheaply replaced (£20) by the new owner. These issues are visible in the last 2 pictures.??

I’m selling because since I moved to the city centre I'm not getting the use out of it that I did when I lived further out of town.??It's been an absolute dream to ride and own. It has always started all year round with no problems.

I would encourage you to come and have a look at the bike and I'll do my best to answer any questions you may have. I am happy to discuss sensible offers.?? Sorry - no solo test rides.

MCN review overall verdict:  "One of the best value commuter/novice motorcycles around, the Honda CBF500 is a decently quick twin cylinder motorcycle that's well made, reliable and handles predictably. It does everyhting you can ask in a novice-friendly package and holds its resale value too. Compared to the Kawasaki ER-6 the Honda CBF500 perhaps looks a little bit plain, but some folk prefer less..."   Read full review

About the seller

As a lady rider I can recommend this bike as a first big bike for any new licence holder. It has been a lot of fun to own and very reliable. Will be sad to see it go.
