Owned by me from new, my first big bike.
At the time I was after a modern classic & I wasnt disappointed. MCN recently reviewed these too very favourably and it does draw some attention when I'm out & about on it.
Plenty enough power, handles well & simple enough to home service if thats what you want.
The Sport version is in my opinion a much nicer model than the standard version too with 10HP more (82HP), an extra disk up front & more adjustable suspension.I'm selling it due to lack of use and space.
Its been serviced annually by me apart from the big 12K service which I had carried out by Webbs main dealer here in Peterborough last Feburary. Very few miles done since. I will replace the oil & filter for the new owner. It flew through its MOT last week and its ready to ride wherever you fancy.
13K miles in 10 years, 4 of those done on 2 European trips here are some other points:
Full set of Kappa Hard Luggage. Rare at the time & near impossible to find now.
OEM Loud Pipes not currently fitted again nearly impossible to get now.
Original tool kit
Datatool alarm and 2 keys and alarm fobs
Good quality gel battery and Optimate lead for trickle charging
Fly screen, very effective for its size
New Battlax BT021s 1000 miles or so ago
All old MOTs, purchase documentation
12 months MOT and 6 months tax
Whilst overall I'd describe the condition as very good (especially mechanically, the 900 triple is bullet-proof) there are patches of poor quality chrome in the places where they usually fail on this model. The pannier rack has rubbed off 2 small areas of paint from the rear mudguard and has bubbled in one part of the petrol tank.
Viewing welcome and recommended. No test rides. Payment must clear before it leaves.
