I’ve been down in the dumps for the last couple of weeks and I’ve really not felt like going out on the Yamaha Fazer8 but today I thought enough is enough and decided to blow away some cobwebs.

The Fazer8 isn’t the most exciting of bikes but the thing with riding any bike is it takes all your concentration and within only a couple of miles of the house I was totally absorbed. There are lots of great roads within easy reach of my house and I soon found myself on the A151, I picked it up at Bourne and rode west, it’s quite rolling and with lots of lovely gentle bends it’s my kind of road.

Regular readers of my blog will know I’m always on the look-out for a nice cuppa and cake stop, so after about an hour of riding pulling into the village of Corby Glen I was pleased to find The Pantry. It’s a little deli and coffee shop with loads of parking outside and offers a great range of cakes and sandwiches. The girls who run the shop were very welcoming and only too pleased to accommodate bikers, which is always great.

Arriving back home I’d had a blustery but enjoyable ride and realised that you really can’t beat a bit of ‘Bike Therapy.’
