Hi. I'm not sure about all the correct terms etc but here goes.I have a xr 125 with 16000km on the clock. It has a kind of oil leak between the upper part of the engine and the lower part. what can cause this? how do i fix it (if possible) and does it damage my engine if i leave it like that?In this image the leak would be just above the spark plug's black connector. https://www.google.co.za/search?q=honda+xr+125+engine&biw=1600&bih=804&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=A-EaVLSbIoXD7AbUpoHgBA&ved=0CBsQsAQ#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=o6SnVAJqnjSZrM%253A%3BDo9_Av-zFMWb-M%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.iol.co.za%252Fpolopoly_fs%252Fiol-mot-gallery-may23-honda-xr125l-11-1.1072646!%252Fimage%252F2716512366.jpg_gen%252Fderivatives%252Flandscape_600%252F2716512366.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.iol.co.za%252Fmotoring%252Fbikes-quads-karts%252Fpicture-tour-of-honda-xr125l-1.1072656%3B600%3B426
Hi, I have just done an hpi check on a bike that I won on eBay and due to collect on Sunday and it has com back as written off. The seller claims to have owned the bike for 10 years and that matches the report. I have told him I was going to do the check and that I need a picture of the van on the frame of the bike and issue date of the v5 to register the guarantee. He seems willing to comply but I have not yet told him about my findings. What could written ...
Hi to All,I found this site by accident, my good fortune.I am trying to get some clarification before upgrading my F and R suspension, basic stuff at this stage. The bike R1200R 2012 with ESA, 14 Kilometres , nice even rear tyre wear ( low tide like), Harsh front tyre wear with trailing edge lip on tread groove.I am a light weight 64 Kilos without all the gear, no track work, pleasure riding with a little old age heart flutter. The concern :The front tyre wear is a concern, just how to rectify or eliminate. I plan to ditch the ESA and ...
The exhaust bolt securing one of the inner downpipes (inner RH side looking from the front wheel) has sheared off flush with the block. The exhaust is now off.Has anyone in this sitauation managed to extract the bolt with the engine still in place ? If so how ?It is the bolt nearest to the frame but there is a clean line of sight so it may be possible to get tools in there to do the job.I am happy for a decent garage to do the work if they can do the work with the engine still in place. ...

Hi, I have just recently failed my mod 2, I have re booked for another test but im starting to really panic as it seems so hard to pass. I failed as my examiner took me down a very tight road in which I had to turn left and the size of the road was so small I went onto the right hand side of the road. I also had a few other minors, I cant get any more training before the test so I just have to go for it, but they pick you up on the smallest of ...
I recently did a BikeSafe day with Surrey Police. Great value for money good training and I'd strongly recommend it for anyone wanting to develop their riding.
Both bikes are pre-registered, 2 miles on clock etc etc.both reduced in price, same price, 2014 models and looking good for a 'know the guy' discount as well.choice is between :Kawasaki ER-6N or Yamaha XJ6n. I have looked at both reviews, ridden the ER a while ago, but I'm looking for some new opinions. Which would you go for and what's your reasoning?
Ive got a couple of bikes Enduro 450s reading online it seems that all larger cc bike chains have rivet links and small cc bikes split links. Is there a definitive limit with split links? I recently got a JT power transfer chain from chains and sprockets.com and the 520 chain came with both a rivet link and a split link, so for my WR450 if i dont need to change chains quickly should I fit the rivet link for better strenght? but then I heard many road racers also use split links???
