Bike for tall new rider

I have been told that the cbf500 is the best bike for a newbie. Is this true and if so is it ok for the taller rider. I'm 6' + with legs like a gezzelle.

Thanks for all the advice that you may bring

New rider bike choice

I run a CBF500.  It's certainly a user-friendly machine, but I'm about 5' 10" and can put both feet flat down when astride it.  You may find it a bit small (and drag factor of legs akimbo may be significant).

New Bike

Heya,

Can't say i know too much about the CBF500, so i wont comment. But i'm around 6' 2" - 6' 3" and have owned an '05 Suzuki SV650S for the last couple of years, and can say it was a very good first big bike and was plenty big enough in size for me. There are many bikes that would be suitable for you as a first big bike. my older bro had a Honda CBR600F as his first, which was a peach of a bike. You may also want to look at things like a Kawasaki ER-6. Hope i've been some sort of help. Good Luck Deciding!
