Norton ‘Chris Walker Special’ set for 2011 Thundersprint

This new, special version of the Norton Commando Café Racer is set to be one of the stars of next year’s Thundersprint. The special edition, features black engine cases and exhausts and BST carbon fibre wheels, is being priced at £13,995 and will be ridden by Walker at the popular Northwich two centre classic event on May 7/8 next year....

Not entirely won over by it's looks but carbon wheels on these roads - please convince me! Even VR or even CW surely would struggle with a broken wheel - has anyone had a problem with these yet?

Norton

Not my favorite version of this bike.  It will be interesting to see how the new Nortons do on the track though.

Wheels

Antimagneto, the carbon wheels are better than any other wheels on the market .Plan on getting a set one day . Nice modern retro bike , but I don't think Ducati will be sweating too much . Fourteen thousand pounds is pricey though . The BMW RR twin would be more inticing yes ?
