Vintage 1920's Harley

Hi all,

I was given the pictured Harley by my dad. He's said I can sell it if I want, and since I'm moving to California soon, it seems like the best time to do so. Sadly I really don't know anything about this bike or how much to ask for it.

Could you guys help me out with this? Ideally I'd like to sell it to someone who can restore it to it's former glory and get it back on the road, but I'm not too fussed since at this point in time (ie starting a new life in another country) cash is quite important!

Thanks in advance for all your help!

I'll answer any questions as well as I can but honestly that's not saying much

Vintage Harley

Hi,

I think (though not 100%) that it either a J or a W model, probably pre 1925 as after then the tear drop tanks came into use instead of the flat top ones.

I wouldn't like to guess at the value (but if I were to buy one it wouldn't be cheap)

It'd be worth contacting an established HD dealer for more info or even a motorcycle museum.

I have contacted a friend of mine who works for HD, I'll let you know if he's of any help.
