Loss of noise and power.

Hi wonder if anyone can help.

I've been riding a 2001 Honda CBR 600F for about 6 months and so far I've been very happy with the bike.

Anyway the bike has very suddenly lost something, It has a carbon can fitted and was very loud with loads of power, now all of a sudden its quiet and seriously lacking in power. Its not mis firing and it used to produce loads of smoke and high revs when starting (not now)
It has also started ticking over at just 0.5 and will occasionally stall when stationary.

Any advice on how I can get the grunt back is greatly appreciated.

With the change in

noise has the exhaust not got a hole or come loose at the manifold or something hence the lack of exhaust gasses getting to end can and also would cause a loss of power due to loss of back pressure.

Thanks

After reading your response Cairnsie13, I checked and found a hole in the link pipe. After temporarily patching it power came back instantly. I've since had it welded and am good to go.

I would have never thought a small hole/crack could make that much difference.

Thanks Again
