Valentino Rossi rubbishes retirement talk

Valentino Rossi has moved quickly to dismiss reports claiming the Italian star was going to retire at the end of 2012. A report in today’s Daily Telegraph claimed Rossi would retire at the end of his second season with Ducati, or even quit before the end of the campaign because of his failure to make the Desmosedici a competitive force in...

Audi's role?

Given that Audi has now bought Ducati, surely a few million extra Euros to improve the bike will be made available and that would be enough to keep Vale interested ? The amounts of money needed to really sort the Duc out are peanuts to Audi.....

Audi could make the engine more user-friendly.

The Ducati factory riders are happier with the current chassis and claim their biggest problem is taming the aggressive power delivery from the L4. A company like Audi should be able to sort out problems like that pretty easily with the resources at their disposal. Dumping the stressed-member concept seemed to be the biggest obstacle for Filipo and the gang. Now that's out of the way, surely anything is possible...

Rossi retire? That's nothing compared to this news...

...coming out of the FIM that Stoner will, beginning in Le Mans, literally be in a league of his own.

How many factory Lamborghini racing teams are there?

VAG will have limited if any involvement with Ducati Corse. VAG are buying, and, are into sorting out the supply, production and profitability of Ducati road bikes nothing more, nothing less. They will have minimum influence and input on design and R&D unless it involves streamlining and tightening up processes and procedures. Do Lamborghini's look any different after being built the German way by Italians? Nope, still look like Lambo's to me only they don't catch fire randomly (Miura), stop working randomly (all models) and still manage to be outclassed by Ferrari despite the teutonic order and discipline.

All that will happen is that Ducati roadbikes will get better as a package and on the rare occasion it breaks you'll have the part fitted while they pour you cappuccino and wave you on your way before bombarding you with customer satisfaction and feedback forms. You'll be able to crash in july safe in the knowledge that the Ducati factory hasn't stopped for august like the rest of Italy and parts will be rushed to you if they haven't already been fitted whilst you went to the loo.

Thank`s for that link yammy3358.   Ofcourse it won`t happen, money isn`t his "only" reason for being in Moto gp,and they did treat him like something they`d stepped in.  So he will stick where he is, right upto the day he ain`t enjoying it no more,or he stop`s winning. Whichever come`s first.          If only all ex-winner`s were like that ?

I hope they do beg just so Casey can give em bird for the treatment he got. By then i would assume that twat Presiozo has finally swallowed some humble pie,

but in reality, i could never see casey returning to ducati. Not once hes seen that the grass is truly greener on the other side
