Casey Stoner rebounds to secure Phillip Island pole

Casey Stoner bounced back from an early crash to claim pole position for his final home race at the spectacular Phillip Island track in Australia earlier today. After dominating all three practice sessions, Stoner suffered a small blip in his quest for a sixth successive home victory when he fell at Turn 4 with just over 20 minutes of qualifying completed. He...

Yes, nearly beaten by a CRT and slower than Stoner on an 800 Ducati 2 years ago.

Classic casey and brilliant to watch, still no mention of his title defence this year though, Jorge and Rossi, despite two serious injuries, got hammered for losing, when will folk wake up and smell the poppies?? Love sky+ which clearly shows Casey getting up and walking away with zero limp till he remembers..It's almost as if to give casey full credit you have to pretend his average performances never happened.. never seen anything like it before have MCN ever mentioned it??..plain weird.. Rossi doesn't like the duke at all, it's greatness weakness is where his biggest strength is, in fact only one rider on track has the same strengths as the duke, casey. Until that changes which it should have two years ago, all the dukes will continue to struggle, only a complete moron would blame a one rider for a bikes problems when 17 out of 18 haven't done any better.. Ducati?? Why are you still building bikes for riders that don't exist?? The 400m euro question.?? Zero point in them being in motogp, the money could go towards another 4 jap factory bikes, that would overnight catapult motogp back to the top of the excitement lists... Ducati are the number one thing that's wrong with Motogp, they take up a 3rd of all factory bikes, way too much money and space but play no part in the show. It's been really interesting this year watching casey mimick his last two seasons at ducati, oall the experts were saying he'd dominate with ease on the vastly superior honda(perhaps they are too embarrassed by just how wrong they were??? On a considerably better bike he's actually had a much worse season in his second year at honda and has almost matched his 2nd and 3rd years with being super strong at PI and I suspect Valencia but not being anywhere near good enough at 14 of the other races.. Rossi and Jlo would have got slaughtered for th eseaosn Stoner is having fact. Instead nobody says anything about casey except going crazy over his only good showing in something like 14 races.. never has the phrase myth been more accurate..

Only good showing in 14 races ?

Stoner's last win was Laguna 2012 Hugelean. Less than 3 months ago. But I guess you missed that one. Oh yes Rossi binned it in that race.

As for your Ducati rants, they are plain stupid. What do you suggest ? They withdraw to make space for 4 Suzuki's and 4 Kawasaki's ?. Last time I checked, they got owned by Ducati every season of the 4 stroke era.

And the Honda best bike theory is a crock and you know it. The advantage they do have over Yamaha is 2 aliens to 1. Thats all. Cheers.

Hugequeen, if you're blaming the bike, then it's the same bike Flo has been developing for the last two years.

Doesn't like the bike he developed? You're fkn kidding mate, who's he got to blame then?

Stoner won over thirty times on the duc despite criticising it and saying they didn't put any development into it. With Marlboro's and Audi's millions, everything he's asked for laid out on a silver platter, Flo outpacede a CRT machine today by 0.006 seconds. Fucking hilarious mate!

By the way, you know Stoner could win on this bike, you're just to fucked up by your queer heroes complete incompetence to admit it! Hahahaha haha hahahahaha ha hahahahaha hahahaha...

I rarely bother to read Hardleans ramblings

there's never been a grain of truth to any of them, I'm sure today pointless tirade is no different.

All we need to know about the Great Valentino Rossi is today he was two seconds off pole and only two seconds faster than a wheezy little CBR600 Moto2 bike. What an utter embarrassment.

Mr Birt. Turn four is called Honda corner and it's a right hand turn.
