2012 MOTOGP MOMENTS - VALENTINO ROSSI BACK TO YAMAHA

You’d have got better odds on Valentino Rossi coming round to your house for Christmas dinner than you would have got on the Italian completing a shock return to Yamaha in 2013. Had Casey Stoner not fallen out of love with racing and retired and had Ben Spies not surrendered one of the most coveted seats on the grid at Yamaha,...

Surely you cant actually believe that crutchlow, bautista and dovi will passing rossi next year do you? Cruthlow is in for a rude awakining next year when trying to keep up to rossi on the same bike. Remember lemans? That is what will happen to cal as he tries to follow the lines of the master for the breif moments they are together on the track before rossi dissappears into the distance. Dovi...come on...he couldnt play with the big boys on the factory honda. On the ducati...he is finished...but rich so good for him. Bautista has peaked and is destined to be another barros....good enough to bother the front runners on his day but not good enough to be consistant.Bradl is the only bright star of the bunch....real talent, humble, clever, and level headed. Throw in his old nemisis marquez and he will be very motivated in 2013. If lorenzo gets hurt or crashes the door is wide open for rossi to steal the title

Yes,but no Rev,

he's not too old (remember a guy called Hailwood? He hadn't been on a 'bike for 11 years...still won). VR will be a front runner, Spies couldn't do that, and with 4 competitive 'bikes up front and 2 or 3 lunatics in the mix ( Cal, Dovi and Bautista) anything could happen. I was at the Sachsenring and HRC blew the Yams away on a track that should have been a leveler last season...if Yam aint upped the anti, then it will be a question of whether HRC can stop MM knocking Dani off.....One last point, VR might be past his best, but his racecraft will still be there, remember '06, Hayden only led 26 laps all season...still won the title.

Kinda bored of hearing about Vales 'racecraft'. This generally comes into play in the early stages of a race when many are still warming up and 'he who dares' can make a move up the grid to a degree . Where has Vales racecraft got him once everyone is in the swing of things? Ultimately behind Ellison.

I know Stoner was the greatest according to yourself and alot of your post's are in retaliation to the abuse Casey got to try wind up the Rossi fans. Seven titles in ten years in the top class before injury and an ill fated move derailed him. Racecraft? you bet your bottom dollar.

Its the has been bit thats the joke mate, He didnt gell with the Ducati, so what?? He beat a fully fit Stoner on said Ducati in 2010 whilst badly injured and missed aload of races. The Ducati was a bad move. Whilst i dont think he will dominate, its foolish to suddenly think he wont be a podium regular.

But not for Casey? This is where your argument constantly fails bud. What's good for the goose is good for the gander...............................or not in your case.

Compare Ducati stats/800 stats and the time that both Vale and Casey were aboard factory machinery.

There's only one winner so stop being silly bud.

Even casey thought the duke a piece of shit, except for 07. Yes he could ride it better than vale. So what...rossi can defend his titles and casey cant. There...all equal. As for dovi.....yamaha made a great bike out of the box and and all 4 bikes looked good(spies problem was not bike related). That is why cal and dovi looked good this year. Cal is very average in this company....he couldnt come close to winning wsbk title, but hes british so was fast trackedso as to represent. Dovi had a good year.....on a yamaha.not on. This year will be much, much different. Bautista isnt a bad rider, he just doesnt have the ability to take it to the next level. Rossi does. Im not saying he will dominate but he will be in the mix and if jorge gets hurt....rossis RACECRAFT wil come to the fore.

I'm not being silly pacey mate, maybe it how each of us judge success that differs. Casey is a super talent the took advantage in 07 when the Ducati had advantages over the Japanese and made his name, far play. but couldnt repeat it could he? no despite his talent the bike wasnt good enough. Hence why he finished 4th behind an injured Rossi . The whole issue for the all two years of insults and arguments is the win or throw it away approach he took at the end of 2010 isnt it. Lorenzo had back off and was cruising to the title then upped the wick when it was won. No the honest truth is the Ducati is not quite good enough and Casey's style was the only one that ever Gelled with it. On the Honda? well people choose to forget Pedrosa was ahead of him in 2011 till he was torpedo'd by Simoncelli. who know's who would have been top Honda and won the title otherwise? IMO it would have been more like this year ( wins pretty equal all round) But its all conjecture and can never be prove so, peace my friend and lets see how this season pans out.

Good stirring rev

But Cal Keepthecrutcheshandy ahead of rossi? Not going to happen. Not unless the only thing that vale learnt at Ducati was how to fall off (which admitedly an impatrial observer could be forgiven for thinking) but the reality is a factory backed bradl is more likely to be vying for the 3rd step and the only doctor Cal will be bothering is in the clinica...
