No new Yamaha gearbox for Cal Crutchlow?

Cal Crutchlow could get an early reminder of the downside of being a non-factory rider in MotoGP in Malaysia next week, with rumours mounting the British rider will not have a new seamless shift gearbox at his disposal from Yamaha when winter testing resumes on Tuesday (February 5). Although Crutchlow’s Monster Yamaha Tech 3 Team insist the full spec of the...

I am constantly amazed at how quickly people rush to say rossi is finished because he couldnt master that piece of shit ducati. He was immediately off the pace and stayed ther for two years. Thats alot different than a steady increase in lap times as the sharpness of talent dulls. Idiots like nostro and a few others love to pretend that the bike was/is awesome and rossi was a poor rider. Casey could ride the duke better than rossi, but rossi has defended his titles. Something moaner could never do...even with the best bike.

agreed Pacey

gotta laugh at all the people bilthering about Yamaha's necessity for a seamless gearbox!! there are far more variables and vectors to gain time around a track than a trick gearbox

Perhaps the Flossi-philes are adding it to their bag of excuses come season end?? mind you, Flo did fuckall with a seamless gearbox on a duke for two years! hahaha!!!

Don't forget to include Little Racey Stacey

on your fuckall list. He is the only one to gather up all his toys, stuck his bo bo in his mouth and ran home.

Thing is, he still is peering over his fence wanting to play, but his low ambition along with his 125 and 250 cc days keeps reminding him he is shit. Having a teammate such as Dani who regularly walk him in those days and  now doing again, makes him stay hidden behind his fence.

Yeah that's right, ran home a two time world champion with 23 wins on the Ducati that your demi-god Rossi got on the podium only a few times after some of the front-runners crashed. 23-0 sure is fuck-all.......for Rossi.

No Surprises

The criticism of Jorge and Cal at the end of the season was the lack of drive out of a corner of the Yamaha compared to the Honda. And lets face it that was plain for everyone to see. I assume that a seamless gearbox is just one part of the jigsaw that is needed to fix this. The fact that Cal and Tech 3 may not be getting this at the first test isn't not really a surprise, is it? Of course they are going to pass it to the works riders first. Once it is proven then it will be passed down and Cal will get his and then Brad. The stoner vs Rossi 'discussion' is meaningless. The Ducati ridden by Rossi was a different beast to that ridden by Stoner. Have people forgotten all the front end problems Casey was having and moaning about from 2008 onwards? The only difference is that Casey, found a way to ride around it sometimes. And whatever you think of him as a person - you have to admire his sheer talent. Valentino, wasn't able to adapt his style enough to make the Ducati work for him. This year we will see if Vale is still a force to reckon with or whether his star is finally beginning to wane after a fantastic career.

Hey, being a non-factory Yamaha rider has its good points in that he's not a factory Ducati rider as he wanted to be with the big fat pay cheque he is so sore at missing out on.

Cal had trouble passing rossi when rossi was on the duke. Its pointless worrying about it when rossi is back on yam. Cal is on one of the best bikes out which should be enough. He didnt do enough for a full factory yam and a sat yam is way better than a factory ducati. Hope he has a good season and genuinely looking forward to seeing the all brit tech 3 develop . Good luck lads.!!

I didn't see too many Sat Yams bothering Casey when he rode the Duke. Just an observation bud ;)
