GP weekend camping advice please

Hi All

Please can I have some advice, over the past few years myself and my Mrs have got more and more into moto gp, and this year have booked tickets for the Silverstone GP for the full weekend and we can not wait....

Soooooo, as complete novices at camping and at such events please can we have some advice on what to take and also times to arrive etc i know Silverstone is a notorious traffic nightmare so friday morning is how early? lol

Im would appreciate any advice on what to take as dont want to end up caught short and eating crap all weekend, though im sure i will as will be cosuming a fair amount of beer one would assume lol

cheers all
Rich

to camp or not to camp

race weekend camping is ok but dont expect to sleep

the toilets will  be a nightmare
last year  there were turds everywhere  arounf the campsite
some of em even had  paper  on top

seriously try  camping nr Banbury and  riding in the  cost is minimal  the walk to the pub on an evening was plesent and i got some sleep
id booked grandstand tickets so had a seat  on the day
there is no pleasure being in a field with  20 000 bike fans  on beer
but enjoy  ill be the one  who trocks up at  10 am and sits down at  10 30 to watch the  racing for the day
with my sarnies  and a flask
and leaves  at 5pm to hit the pub  at  6
most bikes  are away in an hr or so  its the cars who suffer
enjoy
