UK MotoGP TV rights: To BT, or not to BT? Its bad enough trying to be able to be on the internet never mind living without wheels and now this slap in the face from the BBC

bbc should have bid till they got the rights no matter how much it costs, as after all it is our money they are using..

but they will squander it on shite like, celebrities dancing on ice, dancing on roller skates, dancing on the fecking ceiling and indoor bowling ffs, anything but what the public want..

BBC.

I wondered what you were on about so here's a link I found.

Can't really blame the BBC if they're outbid by rivals. The TV licence costs slightly less per month than BT's "up to 16Mb Broadband" (yeah, right!) service alone. The BBC also produces and commissions drama and current affairs programmes, they don't just pitch up and televise an event.

Money shortage is also why there are fewer dramas made than there used to be. You can't beat a good story but actors and film crews are expensive in time and money, whereas allowing the public or C-List celebs to make fools of themselves costs far less. I'm not sure what the general public wants but that's what they get.

Mind you, fewer presenters would help reduce costs. Do they need two in the pitlane, and do Cox & Parrish need to be trackside just to commentate on the video transmission?
