New Yamaha XV950s set for UK

This new bobber-style Yamaha custom, the XV950, is coming to the UK this September priced from £7199 to £7499. The new V-twin debuted earlier this year in the US where it’s called the ‘Star Bolt’ and is targeted firmly at Harley’s popular entry-level range of 883 and 1200cc Sportsters. In the UK it’ll be available in two forms: the basic £7199 XV950...

If you must have a V-twin

this would be OK, but in the US the Harley-Davidson Iron 883, Star Bolt, and Triumph America and Speedmaster are priced so closely together that cost drops out of consideration.  The Triumph siblings offer considerably less weight and more power than either of the V-twins, along with better brakes and handling.

Fuel Tank Too Small

Looks great - though let down by the 12 litre tank (2.6 UK gallons). Even the Harley Iron has a pint more in the tank.
