Jorge Lornezo put on a riding masterclass to take victory at Phillip Island and keep his hopes of a third MotoGP title alive. The race was shortened to 21 laps, with the riders forced to pit no later than 10 laps. Dani Pedrosa was the first to enter the pits with Lorenzo coming in a lap later and Marc Marquez a...

Most exciting race this year. A wrap up of the season in 19 laps really.

Dani, too tardy.

George, the complete package, pity about Stoners input into the Honda.

Marquez, back to prep school and the optometrist for Dangerboy.

Flo? Opportunist wasting resources optimistically expecting miracles... or is that his fans I'm thinking of?

Marquez should be more careful during the race. If he is going to win the title he has to do right everything he is telling to do. Although he had the pace to win this race after they changed bikes.Pedrosa big disappointment . Instead of fight he was looking back! Rossi 12.5 seconds behind in just 19 laps! Even bigger disappointment for me.

Loris you dummy....

Fair dinkum letting marquez come out of the pit lane straight into the path of oncoming bikes in a race situation  it would have been safer letting the whole field do 26 laps on used pilot powers, we are lucky Jorge wasn't killed. Time for a complete clean out of the incompetents that Carmello has surrounded himself with the whole thing has become a complete shimozzle.

Gutted for marc, i actually think the lad was in tears when you saw him walking away from his bike. Anyhow whats done is done, hope MMs arm is ok so he can get back onto it come Motegi. It should be a Honda track, a HRC 1-2 with Marc coming first should do the trick by my reckoning? 27 points in front for Marc? anyways lets hope its a clean, uniterrupted race..

laps??? how many???

MCN "The race was shortened to 21 laps"

Yahoo "Riders were ordered to pit to change bikes on lap nine or 10 of the shortened 19-lap race " "reduced 19 laps"

No wonder MM was confused :-)

(Farcical situation could be tempted to wonder what Yamahas input was but that would be churlish)
