Motegi MotoGP: Lorenzo charges to victory on Honda home turf

Jorge Lorenzo has kept the title fight alive to the last round of 2013, as he took a dominating win from the Repsol Honda duo of Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa on Honda’s home territory at Motegi. With Lorenzo making a flying start, he was able to lead off the line, with Valentino Rossi slotting into second ahead of the Repsol...

I spotted him first.....

It's official on this thread De Grasse has taken the mantle of most nutty Rossi fan from the great acanada46. I spotted his exceptional potential from his first post on the forum.

Lorenzo's the law..

An incredible effort from Lorenzo considering the sheer pace of the Honda's..

RCV's dominated the speed trap..shutting out the top 4 places by a healthy margin. Lorenzo's M1 only 9th fastest, 8 kmh down on Dani.

Add this to the clear advantages HRC seem to have found in braking - their bikes taking yards out of everything else going into corners and lightweight Pedrosa still able to run the smaller brake discs - and it's going to be a challenge for cash strapped Yamaha to elevate their bike to the level of their powerful rivals, Honda.

JL is busting his balls to match a rookie and an over rated under achiever.

It's possible he'll end up losing his title having won 8 races to MM's 6, on an inferior bike. There's little doubt it is only the talent of Jorge keeping Yamaha in with a sniff..he's the best rider in the world by a stretch and whatever happens at Valencia, nothing will change that.

Team orders at HRC?

Who knows Bulto. Perhaps Pedro was told if he could win, then win, or it not then after lap 11 ride shotgun to Marquez. In the race he dropped well back of MM which suggest problems more than orders. Fading in the later part of a race is not a scenario unknown to Pedro.

CCB you snivelling little bullshitter. I stated pre season I expected nr.6 garner a handful of podiums. Wins on a level playing field no way. Completely vindicated.

Yep, like Casey Stoner said "Just how good is that M1?".

Wosi you plum, you may have just shot yourself in the foot..

..your continued argument against Stoner's championship victory in 07, is solely based on the assumption he had the quickest bike. Lorenzo, is by your own admission, proving that theory wrong! If Jorge can do it against arguably a stronger field, why couldn't Valentino?..

Could it just be, Casey was the better rider in 2007?..

I'm touched..

CHR has got a crush on me..

You stated NO such thing Nostro..OPEN Your profile and show us or STFU..who's a snivelling coward?

Not vindicated about Ducati are we?..just needing to change their rider, whose mid pack performance alone were responsible for them not being competitive?

Hayden, who beat Stoner on the bike fair and square 2010, had to be disses as well for your theory to hold water.

..fkin idiot.

ahh yess..

speed differences again wosi?. Not a week goes by without wosi covering up his hero's inept displays by sharing the speed traps. Because according to wosi and his ilk, despite the various tracks we've been at, the speed of a bike along a solitary straight is the only thing that matters in GP racing.

To any observer, JL didnt have any problem getting out of the tight turn 10, in fact he was getting out of the turn better than marc or dani, building up a lead down the straight to negate any attempts by the Honda rider to outbrake and pass in turn 11. another testament to just how great that Yamaha is, and of course in the capable hands of a superior rider like the Yamaha number 1. Conversely, Not much can be said of the number 2 much to wosi and david emmetts annoyance.

simply put how does someone think a bike that has won 8 races this year, with JL winning the most of any rider, and a bike that also has the top satellite points scorerer, be considered inferior?

wosi you mug, carry on though, i expect after valencia you'll be out with the speed charts again, covering up rossis lackluster performance this year once more. Because in reality hes been outclassed by three superior riders, not because of inferior machine that you and Dave emmett love to harp on about.

much conjecture, my question is this. Who would you have had as the No2 rider at yamaha instead of Rossi?
