Harley reveals all new Street 750 and 500 urban V-twins

Harley-Davidson has entered the commuter market with its first all-new model for 13 years, the Street 750 and 500. Aimed squarely at ‘urban young adults’ both Street models feature a new liquid-cooled V-twin and, at a claimed 221kg fuelled and ready, are the lightest Harleys ever to leave the Milwaukee factory. While the 500 remains for now a US-only model, the...

I think I like it

Style wise it looks good apart from the radiator and the Light Cowling. 8/10

The Harley Faithful

will hate it for not being a pan/shovel/evo (pick yer era), and everyone lese will deride it for being a Harley (even if it turns out to be as competent as anyhting else). But, the same theory is true of Japanese custom bikes - not authentic for the Iron-horse crowd, not different enough for everyone else - and they sell well enough.

So, I say good luck to Harley. But if they do capture a 'youth' market outside of the Dark Custom range, they are gonna have to add the the VRSCA range if they wanna keep those customers.

Yuk

Oh good lord, whatever next?

Look, you buy a Harley becuase you want a big engine and torque and all the happy things that happen in your head when you ride it.

The Japanese do small cruisers better and i expect better value too.

Who is going to buy this? ...and how will they be ridiculed at their first Hog rally?

I think you will find they will sell by the shedload simply because thay have Harley Davidson on the tank. Saying that its not a bad looking bike and if they get the price in line with the others who will want a Honda? I think they have out Japped the Japs, good move Chaps.

"New" Harleys

They look just like all the other bikes they make. Ugly as hell. It staggers me how they still sell this rubbish.
