Dunlop announces shock 2014 sabbatical

In a statement released online, the seven times TT winner said that “due to various complications attached to each offer” he received, he will sit out the season before making a return in 2015. As Honda team boss...

Deal to be done..

There's a deal to be done, guessing Mr Dunlop wants it on his terms & he is the main man currently to be fair pretty much everyone else is just chasing his back wheel, sure something will pop up..

"If MD takes a year out, including the IOM, then whoever win`s it will always be the year Michael Dunlop didn`t race,"

Respectfully disagree, nobody saw 2011 as the year Hutchy didn't race.

Hopefully MD does sort something out and we do get to see him race though.

No win at the Isle of Man is de-valued.

If the team & bike you won 4 TT's in a week on isn't the right package, which one is?  Can't help but wonder what's really going on here.

The Right Package

Didn't he win 3 of the races on MDR bikes? AFAIK the 1st Superbike race was the only race he won on the Honda Legends bike. He could run his own bikes and have a bike just as competitive as the Honda UK bike, after all he done a 131.220mph on a superstock, the outright record is 131.671

In any case he'll make his own mind up but I hope he's at the TT 2014.

Will He Wont He?

The big question will be asked as we nearer the two main Road Racing Events NW200 and IOM TT. I  am sticking my neck out that MD will be throwing his leg over something at these two great spectacles in 2014.
