Scott Redding excited to work with ex-Stoner crew chief

Scott Redding believes Casey Stoner’s former crew chief Cristian Gabbarini could prove to be a key ally in his rookie MotoGP world championship campaign in 2014. Gabbarini is now heading up Honda’s new RCV1000R production racer project after the Italian quit Ducati with Stoner to move to HRC in 2011. Gabbarini was a key influence in the Australian’s successful career and he...

If Marquez were to climb on it he'd finish 3rd.    The question about Redding and Gabbarini boils down to how well the RCV1000R's  perform over a race distance. That question won't be answered for 4 months.

thanks wosi

I never would have guessed that Valentino didn't like Stoner without this helpful link.

A source of satisfaction for Stoner fans that he has gotten under Valentino's skin as he has  gotten under the skin of that certain element among Valentino's fans.

Yet more evidence that everything I have argued about  Stoner and Rossi on the Ducati is true, including Valentino's realisation of the nature of the beast immediately on encountering it in the Valencia 2010 post-season test  btw; I have actually read all this stuff hence my line of argument.

Can someone explain to me the differences between the Honda RCV production Motogp bike and a Honda Fireblade full WSBK?

I reckon they are both gonna lap at almost exactly the same times....maybe within half a second of each other. Is it worth all the cost and effort?

Are Dorna possibly planning to be even more cost efficient and merge the 2 in time and just have a WSBGP championship?

bitchy indeed

I gather Stoner's recent book isn't entirely complimentary about Valentino either though.

Marvellous article Wosi

He's bitchy alright the old Tavullian Terrapin isn"t he? So from what I can gather he's in essence saying "I de-evolved that Ducati to such an extent that even Stoner could probably only manage a best of sixth on it" The man's a legendary 'developer' alright.

But the most hilarious bit is that he thinks the others see him as a mate. Ha, ha, ha.....
