Leon Camier excited by 'amazing' MotoGP chance

Leon Camier has spoken of the ‘amazing’ chance he has to line-up against the likes of boyhood hero Valentino Rossi and current MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez in 2014. The former British Superbike champion appeared on an updated MotoGP entry list yesterday and he will ride an Aprilia ART machine for the Italian-based Ioda Racing squad. very interesting

This will inject a bit of uncertainty amongst the other also rans in the Motogp line up. Can see him surprising quite a few with the overtaking moves he tends to use.

Leon Camier

I just hope Leon has some better luck this year, it's been in short supply for a couple of years now.

The GSXR was never going to be competitive so that's no loss so I just hope he can regain the form he had when he won the BSB.

Good luck!

Great news for Brits..

Super opportunity on what should essentially be the factory Aprilia MotoGP project machine..which was pick of the 'Open Class' last year.

Lets hope the bike continues to develop under the spec electronics and 12 engine/24 litre fuel rules.

The ART was beating works Ducati's last year!..Surely the Aspar RCVR Honda's of Hayden and Aoyama are in the gun-sights..the Open class Yamaha's of Espargaro and Edwards locked on radar?

Camier has pedigree, talent and is still only 27..he could be a dark horse.

Good luck to him

However, he seems to have already fallen into the "its just amazing to be here" trap. Too many riders think they have already won the battle just by being there, hopefully he will fight some hard battles and push the others as well. I hope he doesn't come along and get a bit starstruck and end up just circulating at his own pace.
