The new Lotus superbike carries dramatic styling – but do you like it?

MCN has the world exclusive images of the new Lotus superbike in this week’s issue of the paper along with details of the project and how running prototypes are already out testing. MCN managed to get hold of two images from a source close to the project. That source, who didn’t want to be named, was able to hint at a...

Please Forward To Lotus.

Currently the poll is at 66% against  which means this one ugly bike and Lotus should remove their name from this dog immediatly.

Lotus won';t make it if they make conventional motorcycles so this looks like a good idea to me. I'm sure it won't have that solid piece of carbon fiber at launch.

Are Lotus paying MCN for all this coverage and articles???? Please stop putting pictures of this thing on your site, it's starting to give me the dry heaves!

People are getting confused this bike is not being built by Lotus .

The project is a joint venture between Colin Kolles of Kodewa and the Holzer Group, both based in Germany, with no links to Lotus other than the use of the name under licence.

It's a computer image, with a posh badge.

It's not even pretending to be road legal and the article suggests it'll be made of materials so expensive, that it'll never reach production.

Bit of a waste of time voting really !

It'll never be a "production" bike anyway

Not in the sense of been homologated.  It'll be a small batch of machines for owners who will tuck them away, probably unridden, and wait for the price to appreciate.

There is nothing in this or the previous article to say that the computer generated pictures are the actual bike that will be produced, the fact that the "source" has given out details that indicate the bike will look different to anything currently on the market also doesn't say that the images are of the actual bike that will be produced, a dayglo orange with pink stripes bike would certainly be different to anything currently on the market but that isn't in the pictures, i can't believe a company would put into production a bike like the one in the pictures that would appeal to a minute number of the population & be afforded by even less.

Nice computer generated mock up, I dont know who it's aimed at , but where would your knees and legs go?  The reason most sports bikes look the same could be that is the optimum shape and riding position for going fast .

Stop calling it a "superbike" to get better survey results

As you long you insist on calling this a superbike, you'll turn the riders off.  The Panigale, or Gixxer 1000, Kawa ZX-10R or S1000RR are superbikes, this is a muscle bike, or extreme cafe racer, or even a drag bike, but no part of it can be called a superbike.  It would like Chevy calling the Tahoe a sports car.  You're making this process way more difficult for yourself by mislabeling this bike.

As many have said it will never go beyond a single prototype anyway, if it ever leaves the computer screen.  So, what's the big deal?

Ahhh, sorry, it's MCN marketing in action.  Nevermind, glad to see you guys prosper.
