Save your cash and buy used

 That's all well and good, but anyone buying a new 125cc at £3,000 to learn on, has more money than sense. 

Get a decent used YBR125 or CBF125 for £1-1.5k, and spend £900 on fuel, riding around and having fun, then the final £600 on doing your test. I guarentee that you'll learn more and have more fun.
