Video: 125s to the Elephant Rally

The Elephant Rally is for nutters. Since its inception in 1956, thousands of riders across Europe have traversed snow, blizzards and temperatures as low as -16C to attend the annual event. So of course MCN's Andy Davidson thought it would be a good idea to ride to the event on three 125s...

In 1964 three chaps rode to the Elephant Rally on a 50cc Ariel and a BSA sidecar. We couldn't get a 50cc bike or sidecar in time so we went with today's equivalents or closest to.

Lived Toulon in late eighties.  Arranged to meet mate from Blighty at our friends in St Gallen to continue from there. My GPZ was fine but imagine my shock when John arrived on a Honda C70 - not his XS Eleven. He was the only one who needed no assistance en route to the rally!!!!!

What a bleedin' larf.
