Why don't you commute by bike?

Commuting to work by motorbike can save you a lot of money and time, and add enjoyment to a potentially miserable journey. So why don't you do it?

Anyone who doesn't ride every chance they get is little more than a poser. "Live to Ride", indeed. ;)

because cars

...smart phones, tablets, coffee, sandwiches, makeup application, loud stereos and an epidemic of dimwits.

I commuted for 12 years, great idea until I bought a car.

I loved commuting on the bike. Even in snow. You learn so much using a bike all year round plus who doesn't look cool drifting even if your'e skidding your boxers at the same time. Nonces crashing cars at the slightest bit of rain is no problem for filtering on motorways. Need a van now though and i see bikes filtering on the m6 and think you jammy ****.

Dross

The morning/evening commute by bike is the best bit of the day. Can't imagine having to do it any other way. The bit in between is the dross separating the two rides.

pain in the arse

Why drive when you can ride. The only time I use my car is to do the weekly shop and in the summer to transport my kayak. Other than that I use the bikes in rain wind or snow. Mind you during the stormy weather it was seat of the pants stuff

Where's the answer for

...well actually I DO commute by bike? Why does MCN assume we all use four wheels in the winter - is it because that's what most of the MCN staff do?
