WK SP125N worth buying as a first 125?

As I heard chinese bikes have bad reputation, poor quality, doesn't last long... Has anyone got one of those? What's your opinion? Apparently it's 2014 version.. Prices are around £2300-2500. Is it really worth buying?

much cheaper that other japanese bikes (you would pay over 3 or 4 grand for a new japanese one), but it's the quality only that I'm worried about, plus it doesn't have as much power as honda cbr125 or ktm duke125 and only 5 gear transmission  As I know they first came on late 2013, so it's just one winter mate :smile Unless you are talking about WK SP125 which is a bit older I guess.  And yes it looks bigger than 125 which is why it looks so attractive :sunglasses:

WK SP125N

Hi.

I'm about to purchase the same bike within the next week or so. Once i have ridden it for a few days i will do my best to let you know if it handles well or not and worth buying. I have only just last year got back into bikes after a very long time off them, ( 2nd mad childhood i guess ). Initially i got back on a scooter a wk 125sc 6 months ago which i have had no probs with at all so i am hoping that the WK SP125N is just a good and as reliable. I'm on a limited budget so the likes of Honda etc are out of my price range plus i've never been keen on buying a second-hand motorbike.

Got the bike today and had a quick ride out. Handling seems pretty good, speed of 70mph is good enough for me. Only things i would have a gripe about are not been used to a digital read out for mph, fuel etc. 2nd found that if you don't allow the bike to get to 50mph in fourth gear before changing into fifth you wont go much faster than that. All in all not a bad bike but i would say for the money its not a bad lower end price option for those on a low budget like me.

Based in Barton-Upon-Humber. Enough said! I have a Lexmoto and I would NEVER buy a chinese import again.

Never had a lexmotto so can't comment on those. Though the dealer did say i would be better off with a wk than a lexmotto. Guess its all down to personal preference and size of budget. If i had the cash i would have gone for a honda cbr125 or similar.

Ah he would say that lol. An XTRS is £1200 brand new, he wanted you to buy the WK for that extra comission!
