Factory bike a must for Scott Redding in 2015

Scott Redding must be on a prototype Honda RC213V machine in 2015 to show off his full potential in the MotoGP world championship. That’s the view of his personal manager Michael Bartholemy, who came close to guiding the 21-year-old Briton to the 2013 Moto2 world title in the Belgian-based Marc VDS Racing squad. Redding is spending his debut MotoGP season on board...

Will he benefit from one season on a factory bike? He's possibly in the right place right now given the direction the rules will be taking the championship.

All he can do is ride the wheels off what he's got and keep in front of Nicky Hayden, the rest will sort itself out.

Up until the race Nicky Hayden was the fastest RCV1000R in every single session of testing, practice and qualifying this calendar year. And that's not unexpected, the guy is a world champion. If Scott finishes the season ahead of Nicky he's basically guarenteed a factory ride.

Where will he have his factory bike

If Bautista has a great year ? Which is far from impossible.

I was under the impression..

..a factory ride was a done deal anyway?..possibly the caveat being his points haul come the end of the season?..he needs that ride to show his true class..

Bradl's ride isn't looking that secure. Or Honda could lease an open class RCV. Or give Scott's engine a proper upgrade.

I think

Bautista will go to Suzuki and Redding will secure the Factory bike.

well deserved

Scott should have had a factory bike but sometimes in life you never get what you deserve so all I can say never give up keep pushing maybe one day you'll get your chance because you deserve it more than many I can mention

Well actually his results didn't deserve a factory bike 2014

Even if I ultimately believe his talent does,

just turned 21...

so at least he has time, as well as his obvious talent on his side... which is going to be important, as the depth of talent in MotoGP generally is very deep at the moment. Good luck Scott, am sure the right package will come your way, you do deserve the opportunity.

Big Ask

I think Scott has all the talent but he must pick up his qualifying times to ensure a big ride for 2015. I am sure that if he was given a HRC he would do as least as well as Dani who for me is the biggest under performer of the top 4.

Go Scott, just remain injury free this year because that is all that stopped you winning the championship in 2013.
