Revamp for Qatar night race schedule?

Next year’s night race schedule in the big season opening clash in Qatar could be revamped to avoid a spate of crashes that dominated this year’s floodlit race. Jorge Lorenzo, Stefan Bradl, Bradley Smith and Alvaro Bautista all fell out of podium contention in Doha, with the quartet all losing the front-end in cool temperatures. It will prompt official tyre supplier Bridgestone,...

Oh so typical of Bridgestone. To be so completely shown up on their abilty to make a tyre work when the temp drops by a degree or so. If you cannot engineer a tyre, change the rules. Typical of Bridgestone.

Legitimate concern

We hear the same thing every year about Qatar though and nothing happens.

Drop it altogether

and take away the world cup from them as well. Buying western culture by greasing palms with their petrodollars while their spoiled youth hammer their supercars up and down the streets of chelsea showing off their money in this time of austerity with the cops and allah looking the other way as they break every law the Q'ran and magna carta decrees.

I'm not bitter though, but the race itself is a one line procession and wouldn't be missed.

I'm not too suprised really, I can rember a time when we had proper MotoGP and real competition between tyre manufacturers, Bridgestone typically suffered when the temperature dropped but had a better advantange in very high temperature's. for what it's worth I say bring back real competition between different brands, it may well end up being a bit more exciting (one can only hope).

No grip when the temp is too low and completely disintegrates when temp is too high......Bridgestone are a fcking joke.   Why not change all the race times so that they can only race when the track temp is at 20C, then Bridgestone stands a chance of actually getting a tyre that is actually suitable.

Corruption is everywhere, corporate sponsorship dictating values, sick of it all really. No wonder Casey called it a day, just wanted to ride bikes and compete without all the bullsh1t and the need to put a price on everything and sell it. Bill Hicks said it, " By the way, if you're in marketing or advertising, kill yourself."
