BSB Oulton Park – Brookes ends Shakey’s domination with thrilling race win

Josh Brookes had to put it all on the line to end Shane Byrne’s domination of the MCE British Superbike championship by taking a hard fought race two win at Oulton Park. The Milwaukee Yamaha rider refused to let Byrne get into a rhythm at the front by moving to the front, maintaining his pace before riding a stunning final...

What a race

How come year after year BSB can produce such amazing racing. I was riveted to my seat all afternoon. Josh Brooks, Shakey and Ellison were superb. Got to be the race of the year and the championship is going to go down to the wire. Just like MOTOGPI dont think

Agree Ratchetman

and don't the British tracks look great compared to the bland scalextric tracks of Motogp.

Racing superb as always - the bikes are more closely matched and without hi-tech electronics it's more down to the rider - 80% rider 20% bike.

Expected more from Hopper   but maybe I shouldn't have.

It was

a great days racing from start to finish, the continuity was first class, and a thrilling 2nd supersport race, real down to earth racing.  Don't see Hopper doing well, this season, looks like the flames gone out, plus he's over-weight and obviously doesn't look comfortable.

Hopper

Before the start of season he talked the talk and started quite well at  Brands.  He's on a top bike however I think this year could be his swan-song.    It's Ok to feel like you've still got it in your head but when it comes to racing it shows up your true current state.

Having said that he'll probably go out and start doing the business just to show me up .

We may never see Hopper in BSB again from the way his team manager was talking.  He has gone back to the States to sort his head out and if doesn't get back to the old Hopper at Snetterton he will be gone.
