Suzuki switch appealing for Andrea Dovizioso

Andrea Dovizioso is emerging as an early favourite to clinch a switch to Suzuki’s factory MotoGP squad in 2015. Tentative talks between the Italian’s manager Simone Battistella and Suzuki senior management have already taken place. Suzuki has long admired the ex-125GP world champion, and MCN learned recently in Argentina that key members of the Japanese factory’s test and development team have identified...

"I think with good riders, Suzuki will be very close to the podium right from the beginning next year."

If ever there was a comment made with the potential to come back and haunt it's author, this is it.

Not Fair

It was quite clear that in the last days of Suzuki in GP that Bautista rode the absolute wheels off the thing and took their ailing frame to dizzy heights. His performances also provided him with the stepping stone to his subsequent rides. To off handedly label him as young, innexperienced and a reason for failure is very harsh and completely unfair.

If anything Bautista single handedly kept Suzuki in the championship for 2 years while they tried to resolve issues on a useless bike.

That would be a great coup for Suzuki's campaign, IMO he is one of the most underrated riders in the paddock, a HUGE talent, would love to see him go there!!!!

The game

has moved on since Suzuki were a feature in MotoGP, if it was big cash offer, Dovi may take it, and end up with a bike not as good as he's on now, because Suzuki won't put the cash in like Audi.

is Suzuki going to break the bank and give it a good go in this iteration unlike the slow decay of the Rizla team? Otherwise Dovi would be better off staying at Ducati!

Alex Espargaro and Maverick Vinales would be a great team, Although Vinales might be snapped up by LCR if Bradls ordinary season doesnt turn upwards....

Tough choice

For any rider jumping off the Duc and onto the Suzuki. The Suzuki will need development and there is a risk of leaving Ducati just as they get it sorted. Would you want to be the guy who spent 2 years on uncompetitive machinery only to hop onto another development project just as the first bike gets sorted out? That said there is no guarantee Ducati will ever sort themselves out and the Suzuki should at least turn well but in Motogp careers are short and results count.

Dovi will have certainly learned he jumped into the Ducati job not asking who and how they where going to develope it just took the money and hence why at the end of 13 was on the verge of slashing his wrists,he's benefited from the troops that have turned up this year, funny how he couldn't do it last year what he's done this he's got Crutchlow to thank for that, the Suzuki isn't the V four that they had before this is a whole new ball game,Yamaha with all their years of development have hit a brick wall and Suzuki are just starting out with the same idea, there's only one way to the top and thats a V4 and then ask about the money!!!

It's all about the pay packet now for Dovi

He couldn't compete head to head with 'mere' Aliens, so stands no chance in the face of the Marquez onslaught. This is all just a bit of horse trading. He's become nothing more than a high class hooker has Dovi.
