OUT TONIGHT - East End...

With a shitty weekend weather forecast I took the chance to get out for a wee ride tonight before the rain came ..... took a few pics in the east end of the city ....

It's not often I go to church ..in this case Glasgow Cathedral....

Thanks...but I'm far from being anything close to 'professional' .... but I do love taking pics ...and by now I've certainly had plenty of practice   ......

.... too much, - some might say!

The Tolbooth Steeple ..

seven stories high and built in 1625....it was here that witches, thieves and murderers were executed by hanging in the 'good old days' ....

another beside Glasgow's oldest house....btw the gixxer got her new fairing and indicator this week ...as well as a radiator guard ...a bit too late as I got a stone fired through the radiator just a few days earlier! - That'll teach me to follow too close to Ducati 1198's through the bends!  hopefully the liquid metal type putty will hold fine as a radiator is £500 !

Keep em coming Kam

You definately have your eye in. I remember the 35mm days. Half of mine came back with a sticker over them. Not because they were explicit, more to do with them being shite :winkie:

Cheers ..:smile... God yes! - The bad old 35mm film days .... when you had to wait a couple of days to get your pics back and it cost a fortune .... we are so lucky these days. :winkie:

I remember the miracle that was Polaroid cameras when they first came out ..... instant pics after a bit of 'flapping' and about £8:00 for a film which was a lot back then.

another from the Cathedral door ....

wow

That tolbooth steeple looks super imposed against those new buildings.

Polaroid, I had one. You only got 10 exposures for the price. I hear they are making a comeback?

Try taking a sneaky selfie with one of those noisy bad boys

They did make a very satisfying noise when the pic came protruding out with whining noise followed by a sturdy 'thunk' ..... all very 'high-tech' in those days ...:winkie:

The clip on flash

was the best! averaged two out of ten, 8 normally didnt work or just fizzed a bit. Had a 110 camera as well, god i'm old :winkie:

A friend has given me a canon T70, so been playing with that. I quite like the thrill of waiting to get the packet back from supasnaps/max spiellman etc. Might share them on here if they are in focus :smile
