OUT YESTERDAY - 'Day of two halves'

Well the forecast improved to 'mostly dry with some heavy showers roaming around' ...So it was 'go time'.

Out with the lads on the bikes in the morning ...and hillwalking with Sky in the afternoon.....and I managed to avoid the heavy showers (just) so - result!  :winkie:

Met the guys at 10:30 ...

at Spoons for a run up to the Broch Café in Strathyre.....It wasn't a big turnout (just four of us) due to the dodgy forecast and that a few of the regulars were away for the weekend on the bikes up in Lochaline.

Cbrxxmike left the Blackbird at home and turned up on his 650 VStrom ....

Gary turned up on his new S1000RR ...at first glance it looked just like the old one (recently trashed on a Sunday run on the Strathyre road) ...except when you started to look closer ....

Gary's S1000RR...

The previous owner had bought it new and spent £9,500 on 'extras' .....then done just 300 miles on it before trading it in for a Panigale Superleggera!

Up at the Broch Cafe

Gary ...new bike, boots and gloves ...... he wore through his last boots right through to his socks when he had his recent 'off' - that 'shellgrip' is like sandpaper if you end up sliding on it!

Aye - the list of extas includes :-

Carbon wheels with ceramic bearings, a full titanium Akraprovic system, billet Brembo calipers, Gilles levers, chain adjuster and lifters, rearsets, single seat, led indicators ...and the list goes on .... then to sell it just after 300 miles !

That 300 miles cost the previous owner £9,500!

Still, I don't think money was an issue for them if they are now splashing out £56,000 for a Superleggera.
