the services on TV this morning. Very moving. Been to the American war cemetery at St Laurant a number of times as well as others at Ryes and Bayeaux, all immaculately kept and a stern reminder of war. I recommend a visit by anyone visiting Normandy.

Spent my

day with a really old gent who I call Dad, I'm no spring chicken so you'll know he's really old.

I thank him and any of those that survived.
More so I am eternally grateful to those who gave their lives that I may live in freedom, such as it is when there are those that have done their damnedest to give what was fought for away.
Thank you Ladies, Gentlemen and children who gave us a chance, may you rest in peace.

It's a really saddening thought that so many people had to die during operations like this. All because of one evil man and his plans of world domination.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Always very grateful

and always very glad I didn't live through it. It's humbling to think of so many giving their lives so that we have the freedom to do and say what we want.
