Yamaha delighted with Valentino Rossi’s resurgence

Senior Yamaha management have admitted being delighted and surprised by Valentino Rossi’s resurgent form in the 2014 MotoGP world championship. The Italian’s brilliant second place in Sunday’s thrilling Catalunya race was the fifth time in seven races that the nine-times world champion has finished on the podium this season. That is only one rostrum less than the 35-year-old managed in the...

A 35-year old taking it to the fastest 21-year old that ever lived. No complaints from me.

I'll say it again, anything but the title is a waste for Yamaha, to hire him again without believing 100% that he will challenge is everything that is wrong with gp. Factory teams either nurture young talent or go for the title, no in between.

This don't happen much but I'll give the great mincer a compliment by saying he's closer to deserving a competitive ride next year than he has been in the last 3 years even if racing for second was the best he could have ever hoped for.

Why say it again Blind Bob

Do you 'really' think Crutchlow, Esparago or Smith would have fared better ?  There's no substitute for experience.

Very surprising indeed Tsuji San

Even the bedwetters have been pleasantly surprised by the Terrapin's performance this year, most of whom wrote him off as too old.

I on the other hand still maintain he still doesn't have the pace of the other three. Nr.46 for position nr.4 again in 2014.

No but continuing to hire known quantities is a pointless exercise and deprives us of the potential to see real racing. Dumb c***.

He's surprised them

So he wasn't as "known" as they thought.

He's chipping away as he does. First to beat Marquez this year?

Lorenzo's way..

All winter and into to the present, numpties like leaking fluids Druids, Nobstroke and Buttholeboy have hidden behind Tsuji's comment that Rossi would have to adapt and ride an M1 developed around Jorge's high corner speed and wheels-in-line style.

Rossi rode the same as Lorenzo. He was a typical 250 rider, unlike Casey and Marc, they said. Wheels in line all the way.

Matt Birt wrote several articles printed in MCN - not on the web - that confirmed Yamaha had made changes to make the bike more suitable to Rossi's style..which most real students knew was different.

We want proof they stamped..Matt who?

Well..what have you got to say now ya fkin mongrels?

Do you have a point Wosi?

They all spin the damn things to a greater (Marquez) or lesser ( JL & the Terrapin) degree.
